Mattia Cigalini (alto sax)
Luigi Tessarollo (guitar)
Paolino Dalla Porta (bass)
Manhu Roche (drums)
The virtuosity and explosive power of the young Mattia Cigalini on alto sax, amazing jazz talent, blend with the experience, the secure and wise musical language, and the arrangements skills of Luigi Tessarollo, one of the best and most recognized jazz guitarists and curator of the selection and the arrangements of all the songs.
They are complemented by a stunning combination: Paolino Dalla Porta, well known bass player, acclaimed in Italy and abroad, and French Manhù Roche, one of Europe's most talented and original musicians ,Michel Petrucciani‘s ex drummer
The concert interprets, arranges and brings to life the great successes of some of the best melodies of Italian music through the language of jazz and improvisation.
The show donates emotions strong and sweet together and brings the collective imaginary of singable melodies on a new ground and , in this way so deep, still unexplored. The reinterpretation of the songs stimulates in this way narrative paths partly surprising and partly evocative.
Evergreen of Italian musical history drawn from classical music, traditional and pop and from great songwriters, so you'll listen tunes like: Volare, Estate, E se domain sang by Mina, Anema e Core from Naples and many others.
The stable and close-knit collaboration between Cigalini and Tessarollo brought them to play in jazz festivals and flows in the realization of the album "Italians Melodies in Jazz" which shows these great melodies in a key exquisitely and heavily jazz.
The CD got the special mention "Recommended by Musica Jazz" magazine's national JAZZ MUSIC.
